Panic Contracts – What Are They & Why We Should Avoid Them Like The Plague

Panic contracts. This is what I call signing up for hourly contract for odd jobs like moonlighting or call coverage that do not serve your business goals, just in case your practice does not work out. These will take time away from your own business. Your own business is where you will thrive.

Why would you go from being shackled by one system straight into being shackled by another. This is akin to being a serial monogammer. You know the people I’m talking about. The people who go from one long-term relationship into another and into another without giving themselves time and space to really know themselves, their needs and wants. Their partner always falls short eventually, because they don’t even truly know themself.

Give yourself the time and space to figure out your business if you want to start your own business. Trust yourself to be both gritty and nimble. Leaning on panic contracts eats away at your hustle.

Remember, fear is created by the mind. Fear is a figment of your imagination.

Set yourself up financially and be realistic about whether this is the right time in your life to take this leap and if you really want to be an entrepreneur. It is more than about money and it is not for everyone.

If you believe it is for you, put yourself in a headspace to succeed and let go of the panic contracts. Focus your energy on your purpose.
